Where have I been? Why, working on this project. I’m not going to repost all the stories, but if you want to read some great original fiction by our latest crop of aspiring writers, then you should head over to Foil & Phaser and subscibe.
The collection of short stories that will be showcased on this blog in the next few weeks are the product of a Foil & Phaser workshop. The project, titled Divide and Conquer, consisted of a group of ten authors collectively trying to complete the 2013 National Novel Writing Month challenge of writing 50,000 words in the month of November. The goal was to have the group submit and then peer edit their stories to offer suggestions to improve their writing.
As a reward for the group’s efforts, the finished stories will gathered into an ebook to be published online. Stay tuned for details on how you can obtain a free copy for yourself and how you can participate in future workshops.
While ultimately we didn’t meet our goal of completing NaNoWriMo, we managed to get over 38,000 words down, which is an accomplishment in itself. Foil & Phaser will continue to…
