I have been running two blogs for almost a year, and I have decided that it’s time to make some big changes. Having two blogs means dividing my efforts between this blog and Unlikely Realm – that’s twice the maintenance, twice the promotion, etc. As a result, I don’t think I give either the attention it deserves. So, starting this weekend, I’ll be merging the two into a mutant crossbreed of writing goodness.
What this means for you as subscribers of this blog is that, if you weren’t already subscribed to Unlikely Realm, you will now get even more free stuff from me in the form of serialized short stories. So lucky you. For those of you who were already followers, you now get one stop shopping. If you get to the blog via Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr, you will not be affected.
These stories are of my works-in-progress so they are often only second or third drafts, but they are complete, if unpolished. I will post them three times a week in chunks of around one thousand words. The older stories will appear in the menu bar at the top of the page, and I will give updates when a more refined draft goes up. Check under the Webliography for a complete list of everything. The first new story will probably start in a week or so. Until then I will be editing and mucking about with categories and things. I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I love writing them.
In addition, I may start posting other content more often than I have in the past, perhaps even several times a day. If you find I am flooding your inbox, you can change the settings to daily or weekly. I don’t mind.
Speaking of changing settings, WordPress suddenly decided to change all my email subscriptions to the never default. This may be an unintended side effect of work I was doing on the site, but you might want to check your settings if your inbox suddenly gets quiet. But then I guess you didn’t see this post either. Hmm.
Also, new theme. What do you think? The flowers are temporary. Because it’s spring.
