In this premier post, I will try to rationalize my reasons for attempting to syphon away what precious little time you have left at the end of the day. I have spent a lifetime working at what turned out to be dead-end jobs, hobbies, and relationships. All with little success. But now the reason is coming into focus. Okay, maybe not. But I do promise a pragmatic rationalist’s view on modern culture and society. I will try to entertain, inform, pontificate and there may be cake. I hope to be sometimes funny, sometimes thoughtful, often both, though occasionally neither. I will always be truthful in spirit, if not in deed.
So I will thank you in advance for your patronage, your patience, and your peppermint schnapps. I plan to put out a new blog at least once a week, but then I plan a lot of things that never happen. Comments are welcome but I will not help you out of any hole that you dig for yourself. Also, there is no cake.
